There were 959 sheep and 209 cattle which came under the hammer at the recent Hobson & Co Bedford Monthly sale. Prices for cattle were exceptional, with HK Lombard fetching R14.16/kg for his cow. The lamb and mutton prices were under pressure, but were all market related. Prices were as follows:
