Koot & Jan van der Walt held their total Rits Tuli Stud dispersal sale on the farm Vaaljasfontein on Tuesday 23 May. Tuli breeders from throughout South Africa and Zimbabwe traveled to the sale in hope of adding the Rits Tuli genetics to their herds. Being the second oldest stud in the country, prices showed how valuable their genetics were. The highest price achieved on the sale was for Lot 84, a pregnant heifer which was bought by Bushman Mountain Tulis. A Cow & Calf (3-in-1) lot 23 sold for R27000.00 to Mr JS Brown and Lot 17 (also a 3-in-1) sold for R26000.00 to Pieter Ernst. Another notable price was R20500 for an open heifer which was bought by Bushman Mountain Tulis. Sale Averages were as follows:
