There were 697 cattle that came under the hammer at the recent Hobson & Co Charlgrove Christmas sale. Prices and quality were outstanding with Tubby du Preez winning the best group of 4 baby beef as well as the champion cow. Boetie Muller of Alexandria won the Champion ox competition, with his ox weighing 1115kg and selling for R20000. Prices were as follows:
