The 2nd Karoo Boergoat Ram & Ewe sale was held on 15 February at the Jansenville Show Grounds. 42 Buyers registered for the sale, with buyers coming as far as Gabarone, Botswana. An outstanding sting of rams & ewes were on offer. The 5 stud rams and 19 flock rams were sold first with an average price of R6729.16 being achieved. The top price was R16500 for lot 13 (sold by Hennie le Roux) and was bought by Jimmy Maseko from Labatse, Botswana. Next up were 171 ewes which averaged R2638.30, with lot 4, a stud ewe, sold by Mr Andre Barnardt to PW Botha for R12000. Prices were as follows:
