Sale Report 2022
The 23rd Osterloh & Trollope Bull & Production sale was held at Lincoln farm in the Komga district on 5th August 2022.
There was a festive atmosphere at Lincoln farm near Komga where Eugene Osterloh & Les Trollope hosted a very successful sale.
114 buyers registered at the venue and online to bid on the 35 Brahman bulls, 27 Beefmaster bulls, 43 Brahman females and 119 Mistley Red cows. Bidding was brisk from the outset with local buyers vying for the quality mature in calf Mistley red cows belonging to Les Trollope. The registered Brahman females were up next where there was much interest from out of the province. The bull sale was steady where there were quality bulls to suit all buyers’ pockets, which was the expressed wish of Eugene The top priced Brahman bull was Lot 3, purchased by the Newborn Bros who are old supporters of the sale for R150 000. Les Trollope bought the top priced Beefmaster bull, the dark red lot 7, for R180 000. Hobson & Co were the agents for the auction and Andrew Miller was the auctioneer.
