The Cockscomb Dorper & Boergoat production sale was held in Grahamstown on Wednesday 25th September.
The excellent offering of Dorper & White Dorper rams & ewes offered by Charl Kleinhans (Middelwater Dorpers) & John Skinner (Mon Desir W/D) sold well to a wide range of buyers from the Eastern Cape. Many new buyers registered which was encouraging for the breed.
The commercial Boergoat sale allowed Grahamstown farmers the platform to sell good functional heartwater Boergoat & Savanna ewes on an auction. This part of the sale was also a resounding success with the mainly open maiden ewes offering selling at very competitive prices.
